capucine huguet

- Itinerary of a committed jeweler -

Capucine Huguet is a French designer and jeweler.
She studied for four years at the Haute Ecole de Joaillerie de Paris, where she learned the codes and meticulous techniques of this art, while doing internships in prestigious houses (Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels...).

In 2018, Capucine has matured her personal convictions and wishes to give a new dimension to jewelry. Sentimental jewelry has, it is true, always been part of the history of jewelry. But she thinks it's time, now, to wear jewelry that also symbolizes the environment.

This certainty is intimately linked to the ecological sensitivity that the jeweler has nurtured since her youth through a deep interest in nature and numerous trips around the world.

In fact, Capucine's ambition is to put the climate issues on the front of the stage, through the design of her creations. With this in mind, she enrolled in the Master of Jewellery Design at Central Saint Martins School in London, from which she graduated at 23.

Six months later, she founded the brand Capucine H. Her vocation:

To link People and Life through a jewel that has an ethical and sentimental value for the customer.

The jeweler creates her first collection, Wahlenbergbreen mementosinspired by a trip to the Arctic that she took with scientists. Dedicated to the melting ice, this collection fully embodies the environmental values of the young woman and her desire to open a discussion on the climate emergency. Each creation that composes this series translates, through Capucine's practice and narrative, her will to reflect the phenomenon and to transmit a message.

In October 2021, Wahlenbergbreen mementos won the Grand Prix du Jury at the 36th Festival de Hyères, in the category of Fashion Accessories, with Christian Louboutin as president of the jury.

That same year, Capucine was recognized as a "Bright Young Gems" in the "Responsible Thinking - Sustainable Eco-Heroes" category by the National Association of Jewellers.

In 2022, Capucine was nominated in the Originality category by the Centre du Luxe et de la Création.

At the same time, she collaborates with Chanel's Métiers d'Art. On this occasion, the jeweler and designer gives shape to her second collection, Téthys, dedicated this time to phytoplankton, to its fragility and its primary role in the good balance of our ecosystem. An inspiration in constant evolution, in tune with the riches of our planet and our feelings...

In 2023, Capucine was awarded a CSR prize by the Francéclat committee, a way of highlighting its approach combining jewelry and environmental protection.
